Week #2:Video Reflection
In our Spanish class we created our second video showing off what we have learned so far. I definitely feel i have grown in this class, in being confident in my voice and also being prepared to take on challenges. Compared to the first couple weeks where I was so scared to present. I hope to grow more in my Spanish speaking and having confidence in my voice.

Week #3:Video Reflection
For this weeks video I chose to work with my friends, Olivia and Emily. They are both Spanish speakers and really encouraged me to do the best with the lines we made. When I would practice it was with both my partners we would go back in forth with lines and critique as we go. I found this strategy really helps me understand and memorize. On a scale to 1-10 I feel like I'm a 6 when I comes to having a conversation in Spanish. Compared to the first day when it was -1. I feel that one of my strong points is pronunciation. If I can study the word for a minutes, I'm the master and pronouncing it. My goal for the midterm is to learn new material that can help build my sentence structure.

Practice Final #1 & #2 Reflection
This is our first practice video for our finals. We wanted to see where we were when it came to having a conversation. From this video we knew that we needed to practice our conversation. We made a list of words we must understand to complete this final. I'm really happy that I got my friend as my partner because we work really well together. Something that we need to work on is creating a script to help us practice for the final. There is a lot of words that can help us in creating a conversation about the election. One thing that we are choosing to focus on in our final is who we are voting for and why we pick them over the other candidates. I'm nervous that we will not be able to get everything done in time. I plan on going over to my partners house so we can creating the list we need, then practice from there.
Although I am nervous, I definitely feel confident that the studying and commitment that I have is going to push me to have a great final. Video #!-vimeo.com/169764667 Video #2-vimeo.com/170707726 |
Final Reflection
This is my final reflection of 9th grade Spanish and it feels almost confusing to say that. For some reason I had the idea that I wasn't going to make it to the last day of Spanish or school. My nerves kept me in a place of thinking I will never make it, but I did. I made it another day, week, year. And I'm happy to say that I am proud of the work I have done in this class. I have pushed myself in ways that have made me grow as a student and as a person. I feel that this final really showed this because at the beginning of Spanish the idea of having a conversation and being comfortable was completely crazy. For the first time I felt completely comfortable in having a conversation. As we spoke everything around just drifted away, I understood what was happening and could act upon that understanding. It was surreal. We had our finals in the last days of school, and the moment I felt completely comfortable I realized how far we have come. Thinking about it now I know we have much more to go, but it's nice to recognize this year as an accomplishment.
