Spanish Video #1
I am very persistent when learning Spanish. There are times when I don’t understand how to say a word, but I will keep practicing until I can repeat it comfortably. Because of my learning disability, remembering a words meaning and how to pronounce it is very difficult. I also struggle with reading Spanish and understanding how to pronounce it without hearing it before hand. I have found that practicing Spanish with family and friends has allowed me to become more comfortable speaking Spanish. I feel that with the practice that I am doing outside of class I will be able to increase my vocabulary. It was a lot of fun and comforting to work with my friend Kat.

presente indicativo:
In Spanish we have learned about present indicative tense verbs. These are when the very basic forms of a Spanish verb is taken and conjugated. This is a process where the end of the basic verb is dropped and replaced and replaced with the correct suffix according to the who is performing the action. This is referred to as the performers of the sentence. The performers can be:
Yo- I
Tú- You (Informal)
Él/ella/usted- He/she/you
Nosotros- We
Vosotros- You all
Ellos/ellas/ustedes- Them/you all (formal)
Each of the performers have a different suffix that follows them. This is also depended on what letters are in the suffix. This plays a role in what fills that space in order for the original root verb to become a new action word. The three major suffixes in verbs are (ar, er, & ir). When you have a Spanish verb such as hablar, you must identify the performer that you are trying to have in the sentence. For this example we will use all of the performers. Before we can find change the word hablar we need to know all of the different suffixes for creating a cognate.

Now that we how the correct suffix we can now conjugate hablar. Considering hablar ends with -ar, all we have to do is go through and fill in each of the endings.
Now that we know the rule of conjugating, we can do this with more than just the verbs that end in -ar. We can also do this with verbs that end in -ir and -er.
verbos irregulares tiempo presente:
Irregular verbs in Spanish are simply verbs that do not follow the conjugation system the regular verbs follow. When we talked about why they did not follow this system in class, my teacher said it was just because they didn’t. It was just how the language was adopted. So this means that there are many handfuls of verbs that have their own specialized conjugations. One example of this is with the spanish word ir. Ir means to go.
As you can see, the word ir has its own conjugations, most likely due to how short the word is and for it is missing a suffix. There are some similarities in the regular and irregular verb conjugations, but overall most of irregular verbs follow a different pattern. This can also be seen in other irregular verbs.
